Myth and heroes

Myth makes references at an ancient story usually based on gode, godness and fiction o magic. And a hero makes reference at someone who has done somethings exceptionnal and someone who is superior with superior qualities. As a result this hero is admired. There are 2 types of heroes, real heroes as firefighters, soldiers o somenoe who sacrified his life for a cause… and héroes in story with power. I present this notion with Nelson Mandela ans South Africa. Nelson Mandela was born in july 18, 1918 and his father his a tribal chef, he know apartheid in 1949 at Joannesburg. He makes 21 years in prison and he become president in 1994.

Mandela, symbol of freedom and resistence In South Africa ?

In first time I talk about ANC, the differents prisons with condition… And in a second time what he did really after he was free.

At the beginning, Nelson Mandela was a member of ANC (Afikans National Congress created in 1912), he was arrested in 1962. After he went in 3 differents prisons : Robben Island, Pollsmoor Prison and Victor Versker Prison. In this prison there are many member of ANC, and black people victim of apartheid. Robben Island is the prison with very difficult conditions, they work very hard, and the prisonners didn’t their family. In Polsmoor the conditions are better, Nelson Mandela was very courageous and he sow his family more regulaby and the best prison is Victor Verker. He lived in individual house more confortable. At this moment, the cause is strong, he writes the freedom charter’s. And when he become first president. All of the world, speak about his courage and ANC is very popular.

When Mandela become president the black and white people are in the same places with same right. He prohibits all of people to speak about their past but no vengeance. There are lot of testimony of people who Mandela help us. He has been a father for the nation, all of South Africa considered him as father. They respected him and were grateful to him for all. Everybody in the world know who is Mandela and what did you do.
