4)b) The video shows the first steps of Sophia the robot, this robot is able to evolve in a human environment, she has human behavior: she can walk, use human tools, and have human facial expressions, for example she can blink and talk.

As a first step, it’s a success but there’s some things to improve like her speed, and her limited capacities to argue and talk with people.

4)d) Founder David Hanson hopes a future with ‘’super evolved’’ robots able to improve human kind and life, Creators of robots in Walt Disney company associated with AI expertise from China in toy design in order to craft ‘’humanoid social robots’’ which looks like humans as much as possible. These robots designs are made specially for being trusted by humans.

Hanson is the creator of Sophia which is his masterpiece, there is a dozen copies of Sophia and a multinational team of scientists and engineers are improving the settings of the human abilities of Sophia.

Sophia is now going mobile with the help of a South Korean robotics company, She made her walking premiere in Las Vegas at the CES electronics trade show, her skin named ‘’frubber’’ is composed of a nanotech material that Hanson invented. She also have cameras in her eyes and a 3-D sensor in her chest which help her to see and her brain is replaced by a processor have got facial and speech recognition and language processing.

The problem with Sophia is that her creation runs with the concept of human likeness that many people find a bit creepy.

Global market revenue for robotics is going to grow from $3,7 billions in 2015 to $15 billions in 2020 which constitutes a good step for this sector and means a lot in the direction the future of humankind is going to take: a future with robots.

For now robots are limited because of the massive amount of information and power needed to process quickly and to have robots with quality.
