I am going to talk about Steven Spielberg, an American director, producer and screenwriter.
Steven Spielberg was born on 18 December 1946 in Cincinnati.. He lived in New Jersey and then in Arizona. He was not a good student and despite three failures at the University of Southern California, Steven Spielberg didn’t give up. He choses another school but still did not graduate. At the age of 18, he directed his first feature film: Firelight (1964). Some time later, he directed a short film, Amblin (1968), which led to his first contract with Universal Studios. Little by little, Steven Spielberg advanced in the world of cinema and made a name for himself by directing episodes for certain series and then by directing his own TV films. In 1974, he was to direct his first success: Sugarland (1974) express, which won an award at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2002, he returned to college to get his degree, which he received with thanks to his parents.
Today, he is well know for his most famous films such as "Jaws (1975)", "E.T. (1982)", "Jurassic Park (1993)" which is the biggest success of his career, "Schindler's List (1993)", or the saga Indiana Jones (2008).
I'll finish with this sentence from Steven Spielberg: “I've wanted to do this for many years, to say thank you to my parents for giving me the opportunity to get an education and a career”. I admire this man because despite the many failures he had, he always persevered and finally succeeded !
