La crise des opioids aux Etats-Unis

America’s opioid catastrophe has lessons for us all, about greed and racial division

During these last few years, a major crisis fell on the USA. And not any crisis, a drugs one. But the problem is that those drugs are not illegal ones and you can get some in any drugstore or pharmacy. Those drugs are named opioids; we can find them in painkillers and other medical pills; but they are as dangerous as classic drugs like heroin or cocaine.

And this issue leads us to question ourselves on the origin of this crisis, who are the main actors of this opioids catastrophe in the US, what means did they use to their ends and mostly why would they do this to Americans?

Donald Trump accuses immigrants and the border issues of being the cause of this crisis, according to him, illegal immigrants are the ones who smuggle drugs from South-American cartels, who are well known for their heroin and cocaine, bur clearly not for opioids.

Well, the real origin of this crisis is the pharmaceutical industry cartel. This crisis showed the real face of those big companies who just try to make profit on people’s backs, they bribe doctors so that they prescribe as much pills as they can to their patients and push them to become addicts to opioids like Vicodin and lead to millions of ODs.

This opioids catastrophe only showed to the world how broken the American Health System is, because it revealed that the doctors who are actually supposed to help sick people in their healing are making them fall into a deeper addiction.
