  • The Oak Tree Symbol:The oak tree represents the symbol of the friendship between France and America and oak was voted America's favorite tree in a 2001 National Arbor Day Foundation poll.

The individual oak has long played a role  in many important historical events.We can add that the oak is cherished across the world as a symbol of wisdom,strength and endurance.

  • The statue of liberty: was a present of France to celebrate the friendship between both countries. And in 1865, they wanted to celebrate the hundredth anniversary of the independence’s declaration of the us  nation. The statue measures 93m and weighs 225  tonnes. It has 7 frescoes to represent the 7 oceans and the 7 continents, this is the symbol of liberty. The book, in the left  arm of the statue, has the Declaration of Independence date « 4 July seventeen seventy six » and the torch in his right hand is used to illuminate the world.

  • American football: is a team sport which opposes 2 teams of 11 players who alternate between defense and attack. The goal of this game is to score points by bringing the ball to opponent’s end zone.

The attacking team must pass at least 10 yards in 4 attempts.

American football was created in 1848 in England by students of Cambridge university.

  • Mount Rushmore : Mount Rushmore is a mountain located in the black hills, which has been transformed into a memorial by Gutzon Borglum between 1927 and 1941. The memorial represents the 4 heads of the 4 most famous presidents of American history : George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. Each head is 60 feet tall.

  • The Rose: In 1986, President Ronald Reagan signed legislation to make the rose the floral emblem of the United States. It’s seen as a symbol of love and peace, that’s why it has been chosen. Indeed , the Americans may be the biggest fans of the flowers.
  • Amc: The Hamburger very present in America comes from Hambourg in Germany. They were made especially by German workers who had to cook something quikly for the day. When they came in USA to work they imported the burger in America. The first American fast food to sell hamburgers is White Castle in 1926. In America people are eating approximately 3 burgers a week.
  • The Bald Eagle: The Bald Eagle is a bird living in the US. It is a species of raptor and it’s named like that because its head is white. It’s a symbol because it only lives in USA and this bird is very strong and powerful.

The Bald Eagle was chosen to be a symbol by the continental congress the 20th of June of 1782, and It is represented holding arrows and olive branches in its claws.

  • The american flag the star spangled banner or the old glory:  The flag of the United States was first recognized by Congress in 1777, it did not have the usual thirteen stripes and fifty stars that it has today. It has always been red, white and blue but the flag had thirteen stars and stripes to represent the original thirteen colonies of the United States. Each time a state was added to the union, another star had to be added in the upper left corner of the flag. The most recent version of the flag dates from 1960 when Hawaii became a state. Although the design of the American flag has been changed and may continue to change as states are added, the red, white, and blue remain unchanged.

  • The cowboys hat: Stetson cowboy hats were originally created in Philadelphia in 1865 by John B. Stetson. But since 1970, the symbolic headpiece has been manufactured in Garland by HatCo, Inc at one of the largest hat factories in the country, according to Stetson Uni.

Stetson noticed a need for cattlemen to protect themselves from the sun and rain, so he decided to design a wide-brimmed 10-gallon hat using the hat-making abilities he learned from his father, a well-known hat maker in New Jersey.
