Dear Abby,

I am a student in Degrassi high school, and I have a really good relationship with my girlfriend “Sabrina”. But she is having problems these days; her parents are splitting up, and she seems to be very sad about it. However, the real problem is that her dad wants her to break up with me. Simply because he thinks she that she is young and that I am black I am black. Can you imagine that! How racist and foolish this man is, he is so mean and I don’t like him. I always try to tell her bad stuff about him and about his bad personality to convince her to leave him and to go live with her mother, because if I don’t do that, he’s going to convince her to leave me. Even her friends see that her dad has a bad personality, and they are always telling her to leave him for her own good. But she is not convinced; she says that he can’t take care of himself alone her mom left the house. He can’t cook, he can’t do the laundry, so she prefers to stay with him to help him with this kind of stuff. Otherwise, I think he doesn’t deserve a daughter like “Sabrina” who is very kind and gentle. But what he actually deserves is that she leaves him alone and to deal with the house’s problems by himself. Disregarding her dad, I really love her and I don’t want to break her heart by telling her all the bad impression that I have concerning her dad, because she becomes sad when I say such things. Although, I am afraid that her Dad plays in her mind and fills it with negative thoughts towards me. And I won’t allow him to do that, I am going to put some effort so our relation can subsist,

Abby please help me and find me solutions

What should I do or tell her to make her love me, whatever her dad tells her?
