Although the ambitious reform programs to increase access to education that was undertaken by morocco and the improvement that was made by the education system in order to have a better performance in education and lower the phenomenon of drooping out of school percentage, this occurrence still high and instead of decreasing it increase more.
So, what are the causes that are responsible of this phenomenon?
And what are dropping out of school’s effects?
A lot of children are dispossessed from the right of education by dropping out of school due to various reasons. Family problems are on of reasons, if parents are divorced, no one may take the responsibility for the child, also if the mother and the father are uneducated, the chance of encouraging the child to do his homework and stay at school will is little. More over the financial factors are also taking a big part of this problem, so many students leave school and go to school in order to support their families and have a better life, or they may have a family business and not see any benefit in obtaining a high school degree. finally, the distance which separate school from students houses and the lack of schools in many areas.
Those reason has a serious effect. First, the person that drooped out of school won’t be able to have a good a job easily because of the need of education. Secondly dropping of school will increase the prevalence of crime. Third effect is that problem will make the economy of the country go downhill and the percentage of illiteracy will rise, and the personal income will decrease.
To sum up, this phenomenon can be reduced using several strategies, like encouragement of the students by their parents and by the government and provide more school and transportation in order to help those students benefit from this basic important right and become productive citizens.
