I’m working for BLAGEC, a company specialised in business’ advice, management and administration for other companies. That leads me to work as a subcontractor for another company called PCS - which stand for Plomberie Chauffage Sanitaire -, a plumbing and indoor climate systems company. This company’ purpose is to offer maintenance contracts for customer’s boiler and air conditioner and to fix emergencies such as leaks or a lack of hot water. PCS is located in La Palud, an industrial area in Fréjus, only 5 minutes away from where I live which is something I enjoy on an everyday basis compare to other students who have to drive for half an hour or so to get to work.

My tasks, as an Management Assistant, consists of :

writing and sending invoices

welcoming customers at the front desk

answering the phone

organising the technicians’ schedule

writing letters

offering maintenance contrats

etc..

My company strengths are :

first a good reliability, it has been existing for years now and we have every year a lot more customers that engage in a maintenance contract,

second strong relationship with important companies in this town, they started together and were friends back then, and they still are today and still work altogether

third strength is that everybody at work is nice, we enjoy seeing us everyday and always tells us jokes, everybody seems to always be in a nice mood, which is very pleasant.

On the other hand, my company has a major weakness : organisation. Since the company is getting old, almost everything is still on paper instead of being computerized. We lose an important time when we look for something in particular such as an old pay sheet. And most of the time, nobody can tell where what we look for has been stored. My goal for this two years that I have to spend in PCS is to computerize everything I can and to create a database so we would work half the time we need nowadays, and so we could do much more work at the end of the day, which will lead in having time for more potential customers.
