GM human-beings
This document is a cartoon, where the using of G-M human-beings. We can see a girl in the middle, her arms crossed sitting on a stool in front of a piano. She looks sad and persecuted. We guess is that one of her parents shouted at her because they blame her because they used a fortune to give her musical genes. But finally she has none, despite their effort on many instruments that we can see in the background, a trombone and a cello. So her parents are very upset because they put lot of money into it to get no results.
Some day later, her father got home from a hard day's work and saw his daughter playing a video game on his computer. This made the drop of water that made overflow the vase. With an impulsive rage he shouted loudly at her that she's just an unworthy woman who doesn't deserve the money put in for get her. The girl was revolting, she said is not her fault, she never wanted this. The mad father took the trombone that he bought for her and thinking back to the fortune he paid. So he hit her with all his strength without stopping. The girl screamed but her father furious continued without weakening. Some seconds later, she was dead, the trombone on her, that was supposed to be her destiny. Next to her father crying over his lost money!
For me, in the cartoon, parents have the right to want their children to play music and to see their children succeed, but in no way to justify it with the fact that they have spent a fortune on it by modifying their genes. Music is not a gene! It's delusional! Playing the trumpet for 9 years, I know it can be learned but not a "gene of the music". If the girl doesn't want to play the music, it's her right too. It's his parents' problem if they haven’t learned enough about gene modification and reliability before do that.
For me, G-M human-beings are very bad things because it's dangerous for the health and without any interest. Who wants a world where everyone is perfect? In a world where everyone has all the talents imaginable? What would be the meaning of the life if there is no more skill to acquire? Some things are innate, and yes, sometimes unfair like genetic diseases but that's not why we shouldn't let nature do! In a world where we self-destructing it because we no longer respect the laws of the nature!
