To begin this report, I would first like to thank the people I am about to quote below for the investment and the kindness they have shown towards me as well as the enriching experience they have given me. made it possible to live during my internship within the company ClickAndRent.
First of all, I would like to thank my internship supervisors, Matthieu Figeac and Romain Dreyfus, both co-founders of ClickandRent, who gave me the opportunity to do this internship. Their availability and their advice allowed me to evolve positively within the agency.
In addition, I would particularly like to thank Sophie Millet, rental manager, and Martha Scholz, property manager. Indeed Sophie and Martha were the first people who accompanied me during this internship. Sophie and Martha trained me on the tools essential to the proper functioning of the agency such as rental software. In addition, they brought me their experience concerning field missions (visits, inventory, etc.).
On the other hand, I am thinking of Marie Noël, business development manager, who allowed me to strengthen my experience within the agency by guiding and supporting me during the absences of Sophie and Martha.
In addition, I would like to thank all the rest of the team who was in the rental division (Jean-Vianney Bourdette, Paul Duval) who accompanied me throughout my internship. I would also like to thank the management department and the communication department. Indeed each member was able to bring me new knowledge and skills in the field of real estate.
Furthermore, I have not forgotten the ESSCA internship department service, which sent me the information concerning the internship offer.
Introduction :
As part of my 3rd year international internship, I first wanted to go into a field that could allow me to discover a new sector while strengthening my skills in customer relations. Indeed, having had an experience in the field of sales in the second year, I wanted to continue to cultivate the knowledge learned during this internship.
For this, I initially had several interviews for companies based in Spain that offered Business Developer positions. Following these past interviews, I did not receive a positive response. So I continued my research and finally I received an email from the internship department telling me that a company specializing in rental management was looking for an intern to be rented for a period of six months. So I applied and a few hours later I received a call from my future internship tutor Matthieu Figeac co-Founder who offered me an interview.
During this first interview, we were able to discuss our expectations and our motivations. My future internship manager therefore first asked me about my educational background, my professional experiences and my passions. This allowed him to know if on the one hand I could support clients from solid knowledge and on the other hand occupy a position that would suit me. In a second step, he explained to me the stakes and the different missions of the position. For my part, I told him of my desire to be in contact with the client. In addition, I wanted to carry out a dynamic internship in which I could discover and carry out different missions. I was then invited to a second interview with the rental manager Sophie Millet. I was able to explain more precisely what I had been able to achieve before and what I wanted to do now. I was able to discover the premises and the members of the agency.
At the end of this interview, I was contacted to inform me that I would be welcomed with pleasure. So I had found a course that combined both my interests and my professional goals. Indeed having a certain attraction for the customer relationship this internship could allow me to evolve by discovering a completely unknown domain. In addition, wanting to move into the field of marketing, I thought it was necessary to be in contact with the customer in order to be able to better understand the needs of the latter and subsequently develop commercial strategies.
So I was impatient at the idea of discovering how the ClickandRent agency works. Being a start-up specializing in rental management, ClickandRent has developed since 2019 and has 15 employees and an agency based in the 7th arrondissement of Paris.
In addition, information on the progress of my internship was communicated to me a few days later.
To fully understand the issues, objectives and functioning of this internship, I will therefore present it to you through three parts. On the one hand, I will explain to you the environment of the company and the missions that have been assigned to me. Then afterwards I will present to you my detailed analysis of the missions carried out. I will share with you my achievements, but also my difficulties and the results obtained. Finally in a last time I will make an assessment of my experience during which you will be able to discover my impressions on the progress of the internship.
Partie 1 : Present the company and my mission :
1. The company and its environment:
As briefly stated above, Clickandrent is a company that initially specialized in rental management. Indeed since 2019, the start-up has gradually developed and has now managed to manage a real estate portfolio of more than 800 apartments.
It all started in 2019. Matthieu and Romain, the two Co-Founders, wanted to share a flat at this time. Faced with the lack of responsiveness of real estate agencies, they decided to create ClickandRent. For them, the objective is to offer an efficient, qualitative and digital service to avoid unnecessary tasks as much as possible.
In this dynamic, they first had to set up their project from a business plan and a model to present their project.
Following this, they therefore carried out a fundraiser which allowed them to develop their platform and use software allowing them to digitize their project.
During the same period, they began to obtain the rental management of several properties. In the beginning, the assets managed were those of those around them (family, friends or acquaintances).
Subsequently, given the number of properties managed, they had to recruit new members whom they distributed to different poles.
We therefore now find the rental division which essentially manages the process, from making contact with the prospect to renting their property. There is also the management division which intervenes after the rental. They manage the incidents or the accounting part.
There is also the commercial division which takes care of bringing back assets in management. For this, they are constantly in contact with investors and owners
Finally, we find the communication pole. The two members of this division are responsible for the creation of the website, the organization of events and the management of referencing and social networks.
